I created this apparel dress as part of my Major Work for HSC Textiles. It drew inspiration from wallpaper designs of Florence Broadhurst where the geometric shapes demonstrate strength in union with flowing shapes featured in the silhouette and paisley block printing.

Ribbon Chapel by Hiroshi Nakamura (Japan)
The architect's vision for this building was to embody the connecting paths of a married couple, where their respective lives are two separate spiral staircases that become one at the top.
I especially like how the building seems to be a floating spiral, and challenges structural norms. The glass in the middle aids the floating illusion, yet also provides material contrast to the concrete.

This is one of the many varied Victorian houses of San Francisco, taken in the Mission District.
Long, thin pieces of wood are applied to the surface, meant to be both decorative and expressive of the underlying wood framed structure. The structure is masked by the decoration and I especially like the visual appeal of the structure and ornaments. Different painted colours let certain ornaments stick out, providing dimension and interest.
